About us:
Northeast Tacoma Montessori is a private preschool specifically designed for children ages 2½ to 6 years.
Our school is in a comfortable home environment which enables us to provide a very low 6 to 1 student/teacher ratio. This low ratio gives your child the extra individual attention needed in the early learning years.
The method of education used at Northeast Tacoma Montessori follows those principals established by Dr. Maria Montessori in the early 1900's, which teaches children with an open ended approach that encourages innovation and growth. Learning needs are integrated, comprehensive and based on the reality of the child's world. Educational experiences vary in kind and degree so each child's potential is challenged.
Northeast Tacoma Montessori Preschool is a hands-on, multi-aged, developmentally appropriate, independent learning environment for preschool age children and believes that each child is a unique individual with unknown potential and learns best from their own physical activity and senses if given the freedom to discover and explore in an environment with supportive guidance based on the principles taught by Dr. Maria Montessori.
